Biography Alan Rafferty

Alan Rafferty, Business Development Director (BA, MAPR)

Alan has over ten years experience in the PR, Promotion & Event Management Industry.  His background included election as 90^th Auditor of the Commerce & Economics (C&E) Society which at the time was the largest Student Society in Ireland and the UK. This role involved organising the College Black Tie Balls, Themed Party Nights, and Faculty Days, giving him an appetite for event management.

His career to date involves organising large scale conferences, sporting events in Ireland, UK and Europe. Some of these events include - Ryder Cup 2006, The Smurfit Kappa European Open, Cheltenham National Hunt Festival , annual Corporate Golf days for various companies and organisations and the Ireland vs. England Legends Charity Match.

He has extensive contacts dealing with organisations and companies such as European Tour, US PGA, HSBC, PWC, Folens, The Tech Group, Smurfit Kappa,  Knorr, Volkswagen, Mercedes, KPMG, Nature Valley, Spanish Tourist Board, The K Club, scanning across a wide range of activities from Product Launches, Car Showroom Launches, Roadshows, Corporate Evenings and even Cooking demonstrations.

Alan is a member of The Public Relations Institute of Ireland, Blackrock Past Pupils Union and UCD Alumni. He is passionate about health and fitness, has a positive and enthusiastic attitude. While being a massive Arsenal Football fan, he loves to be out for a swim, run, on a tennis court, golf course or out in the occasional nightclub.
